In a nutshell, all that is needed from the developer to install modules using this method is to download the desired add-on on our website, go to the admin panel and install it with just one button.
How to install a module using Ocmod?
- You find a module that interests you;
- Download its archive;
- Go to the admin panel of your site to the Installing modules or extensions page;
- In the "Upload file" field, select the previously downloaded add-on.
- Wait until the installation is successful and update the modifiers (on the “Modifiers” page at the top, blue button on the right).
Of course, you shouldn’t forget that the functionality of the modules also depends on the state of the code on your site. If you have moved too far from the original build, then there is a possibility that the module you will install via Ocmod will not work correctly.
If you have just started developing an online store, we recommend installing all the necessary modules before completely reworking the code in the templates and other CMS files.
* If your store is already ready and you decide to install a couple of add-ons on it, but they do not appear or are installed with an error, then Osmod simply cannot find the correct paths to your line in the code.
In this case, it is recommended to manually install the required module, namely, upload the module files via FTP, then open the install.ocmod file and follow its instructions yourself.
